You can not face the thought of transferring your existing website?
I understand the prospect can be daunting.  There are many options available that you can consider.

  • Keep your existing website and set up a Ticketyboo site as a sub-domain (e.g. https://clients.yourdomain.com)
  • The Ticketyboo site can be developed for one particular aspect of your business and can share the look and feel of your existing site sharing links back and forth.
  • We transfer all of your existing content to the new WP site. (we can quote for this but there are some things you need to carefully consider)  Please read my blog post on moving an existing site. You will find this useful whoever you choose as a developer for your new site.

Contact me and we can discuss any of these options in more detail.

How will this help me in my business?
If turning more of your site visitors into leads and then customers then yes, I am certain it will help.   Read more to see how an enterprise level Word Press site can save you time, money and be far more productive. We can discuss in more detail if you contact me.
Can I add new content, pages, posts, images, videos etc at any time?
As your Ticketyboo website is developed in WordPress you can add and publish as much content as you wish.  I do recommend that if you are publishing videos you use a CDN (Content Distribution Network).  You have full editorial control over the site and if you are new to WordPress then the tutorial videos will show you the way. See the section below on Word Press Video training.
Why Developed in Word Press?
WordPressWord Press is the world most popular CMS (Content Management System). It is used by BBC America, Sony, Variety Magazine, Fortune Magazine, Time Inc, Reuters, Harvard Business Review, Marks and Spencer’s Business and thousands of websites all over the world. The following link will open up in a new browser on many mobiles. You can read more on this blog post.

Word Press has thousands of plugins and themes to choose from. WordPress has a very active developer community and is regularly updated. It is a reliable, safe and secure platform for your website.

Is it a Mobile responsive site

Every Ticketyboo site looks great on Mobile devices from phones to tablets.  More and more traffic is coming via mobile devices.  Your site needs to look and work well on smaller devices as well as on a desktop.   See the screen grabs of this page below. You can test by resizing your browser now. The images below are screen grabs taken from my iPhone 6 as I was writing this page.  You can also read my blog post on mobile responsive sites here.

What are the benefits of having a Membership Site?
Any Ticketyboo site can come complete with the membership site installed and setup. There is a small extra setup charge. Not every business needs a membership site although my own view is that many would benefit from having it integrated into their site.

Memberships can be configured to be free (requiring only a free registration) like the Registered Member on Ticketyboo, or require a monthly subscription or one-off payment.

There are many advantages to having a membership site and it is something I would strongly recommend.  My definition of a membership site is one that requires a login and password to access content. Read more about membership sites and their benefits to your business here.  Amazon, eBay, Marks and Spencer, Google Mail, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, Boots, Gumtree, John Lewis are all Membership sites.

The Ticketyboo website is very minimalistic - Can I have a site with more colour and graphics content?
There are thousands of themes (styles) to choose from in Word Press. Find a theme you like and I can almost certainly use it and tweak it to suit your needs. No matter if you are a restaurant, engineer, tradesman, retail shop, photographer, estate agent, accountant, financial adviser there will be a theme and style to suit. We have included a £50.00 allowance towards a Premium theme in the price. Ask about this when we talk. This link will open a window with

[popup url=”https://wordpress.org/showcase/” height=”800″ width=”1000″ scrollbars=”yes” alt=”popup”]some examples of WP themes[/popup]

you can see for yourself the variety from Walt Disney to national newspapers.

Could I develop a training course?
We can install and configure a Courseware Module to run courses and training for new services, products, “How To” videos for products, staff, new customers. This is optional as a Membership site will provide control and access on most occasions. However, if you want to run tests, grading, issue certificates on completion then a full-blown Learning Management System can be included.
Can I create Landing Page and Opt-Ins?
Thrive Theme Membership includes Thrive Content Builder.  This is a drag and drop page builder that makes designing everything from landing pages, opt-ins, pop-up forms simple and straightforward. Lots of training videos available for you on this.
Can I have SMS Messages for new leads or form fills?
By having an SMS message sent to your Mobile every time someone opt-in or when they request contact is a useful addition the email notifications built into your marketing sequence. An amusing quote from one client: “This is great, every time the phone beeps it is a client wanting to spend his money rather than my kids wanting to spend mine!”
Why have an SSL Certificate - A Secure site?
All Ticketyboo sites are developed as a secure site with an SSL certificate.  This is required by Stripe (see above question) but it is now becoming a factor in Google’s search algorithm. (see below)  It adds to the professional perception of your site and to the perceived value of your content.

Quote from the Google Webmaster’s Blog:
We’ve seen positive results, so we’re starting to use HTTPS as a ranking signal. For now it’s only a very lightweight signal — affecting fewer than 1% of global queries, and carrying less weight than other signals such as high-quality content — while we give webmasters time to switch to HTTPS. But over time, we may decide to strengthen it, because we’d like to encourage all website owners to switch from HTTP to HTTPS to keep everyone safe on the web.

Why a Stripe Payment Gateway?
The great advantage about Stripe is that all the payments and transactions take place on your site. Unlike other Gateways like World Pay or PayPal that takes the visitor away then returns them back to your site. You must have a Secure site SSL certificate to use Stripe. You do not collect any CC information on your site. All communication is through encrypted transactions between the client’s browser and the Stripe Gateway. See video below.  Adding PayPal if that is your preferred choice is also included.

Can I add Google Analytics
A Google Analytics plugin which gives you information at a glance from your Dashboard is included on every site.

What if I want to take the Ticketyboo site and go elsewhere? Am I locked in?
This is not a problem. As it all developed in Word Press, regularly backed up we can deliver a copy to your new host at any time. All software licenses. Thrive Membership or the Membership Plugin are all registered in your name and belong to you. We will do everything we can to assist you. I understand that for many reasons you may wish to have everything on your own server with your regular IT/web folk looking after it once it is all up and running.  You are not locked in and can take your site to a new host at any time.  There is no question of any type of vendor lock-in by Ticketyboo. Or of course, you may hand over the Admin to an independent developer.  Again if you have any questions on this we can discuss it when you contact me.
Why a Thrive Themes Membership?
This is a simple answer because I believe to be the best Content/Page builder along with their lead generation tools, themes and other plugins make it my first choice.  All of their products are constantly being updated their support Forums are fast and responsive.  We include a full year of Thrive Membership for 12 months when we build your site. This is a £175.00 value so you must budget for this in your second year along with hosting /support costs.  However, it is important to remember that there is no “vendor lock-in” see the question.
Can you develop this on our own Server?
Yes I can. Please see Question and answer above. You will need to purchase Plugin licenses and or theme licenses in your name and if you wish to use Stripe you will need to obtain an SSL certificate for your site. Please ask me about this during our initial call if this is an option you would like to consider.
Can you install the Facebook Pixel?
Yes I will install the Facebook Pixel on the site and add two specifics, one that is for your sales/lead generation page and another for your Thank you page. This means that you can re-target with an advert on Facebook with precision those that visited any page on the site, those that looked specifically at your opt-in page and those that opted in. Many Facebook advertisers will tell you that re-targeting previous visitors is at least 25% more effective than other targeted advertising.
How does the Word Press Video Training work?
Every Ticketyboo site has a set of twenty professionally produced training videos available straight from your admin dashboard.  These are always up to date, revised when WP is updated and cover everything from getting started to changing and customising themes. Also included is a set of  13 training videos covering the SEO Plug in from Yoast (see section on SEO) these cover everything from the page analysis to Google Webmaster tools.  We will also add other videos as we think is appropriate and helpful from YouTube and other sources.

What are Yoast SEO Tools?
Every Ticketyboo has the Yoast SEO Plug in.  This plug in helps you analyse every page from an SEO perspective, keywords, readability, word count, keyword count and much more.  See video below from Yoast. It guides you and provides a check list for every page and post you make. It is a great discipline when publish a post

This looks great with so much included but I need a cheaper initial solution?
We all like to keep costs to a minimum so I understand the question but if you want a true enterprise level responsive secure site on a fast dedicated WordPress server network I have nothing I can remove to reduce the costs. I am happy to discuss this with you e.g. if you are already a Thrive Membership subscription.

Thanks for taking the time to look at the Ticketyboo Site Frequently Asked Questions page.  If you have any questions please contact me.
